Dog the Bounty Hunter is going back into production! The network has confirmed that she show is coming back, but haven’t announced a premiere date yet. Apparently the filming is set to begin ASAP, and they have already hired people for the production!

There were episodes in production when the whole racial epithet incident hit the media (which you may recall was a private phone call recorded and sold by his son), so we could be seeing new episodes pretty quick. But even despite there being episodes already taped, it is a very good sign that new episodes are going to be filmed starting immediately. I assume that Da Kine bail bonds has continued to run its business despite it not being for television, and they always seem to have colorful characters to nab for our viewing enjoyment.

A network official confirms to TMZ that the show is going back into production, but they’ve not yet set a premiere date. As of now, they’re gearing up — big time — in Hawaii and production will begin ASAP. Makeup artists and camera crews have been hired, and houses and cars have been rented, all for the return of the show.

There is no word on how this affects Tim Chapman, who was in court on lewd behavior charges. But really, as much as fans like Tim, Duane “Dog” Chapman is the star of the show, and while his sidekicks provide entertainment - especially wife Beth - the show can definitely go on without him.

I am pleased to see Dog the Bounty Hunter will be back, and I can’t wait to find out when new episodes will begin airing.
